Cell Phone Robbery In Rockville Centre

Robbers in Rockville Centre leave victim bruised and without a cell phone.

On Friday at 3:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man was on North Park Avenue in Rockville Centre when an unidentified man approached him and asked to borrow his cell phone. According to Nassau County Police, the victim handed over the cell phone and the subject punched him in the face and walked off. The victim reportedly followed the subject as he walked north on N. Park Avenue and demanded his cell phone be returned when he was then struck in the face again by a second subject, who then fled the scene with his accomplice and the victim’s phone.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. The first subject is described as a black male with a shaved head and wearing a white t-shirt. The second subject is described as a black male around 5’10” and wearing a blue and white stripped shirt.
