The two married after 28 years together in an evening ceremony outside of the famous Beverly Hills Hotel, reported TMZ, Saturday—They married in front of nearly 400 guests including Hugh Hefner and other celebrities.

According to People, Tweed, 54, walked down the aisle in an ivory Priscilla of Boston gown and carried a bouquet of ivory garden roses.

The couple’s children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, were present. Sophie served as the maid of honor and reportedly performed Etta James’s “At Last” for the couple’s first dance, reported People.

For those who didn’t receive and invite, the wedding will appear on Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Oct. 18.

The wedding comes after a long time of denying Simmons being known as a playboy— Simmons, front man of KISS once boasted he had sex with thousands of women.

But things got heated in a previous season of their reality show—Simmons and the former Playmate of the Year, Shannon Tweed, had been dating for almost three decades but viewers thought that would soon end as they watched Tweed move out of the mansion they once shared. Most notable was their interview on “Today” possibly, one of the most awkward interviews ever.

As we previously reported, during the interview, the hosts shared a picture of Simmons walking arm in arm with two women, let’s just say they weren’t ugly. One of the hosts asked Simmons if he knew them and Simmons answered he didn’t. Tweed corrected him, “He didn’t know their names.”

It wasn’t long before Simmons realized he needed to wake up and popped the question—In the season finale of “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels” he got down on one knee and asked Tweed to marry him.

“I come with so much baggage, but you’re the only friend I’ve got. You’re the only one I have ever loved,” he told Tweed. ”Please marry me.”

She accepted.
