Jenna Fischer, star of “The Office” became a real mother this past September.
Fischer plays pregnant Pam on hit show, “The Office,” but became a mother off-screen September 24.
Fischer, 37, welcomed a son with husband, writer Lee Kirk. The baby boy was named Weston Lee and is said to be healthy.
“Mom and baby are doing great,” her rep told People.
Surprisingly, the actress was able to hide the fact that she had a baby for over ten days from the media, a very tricky task for a celebrity these days.
Fischer first revealed her pregnancy back in May and went on to reveal the sex of the baby in July to Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
It all went down when Leno asked if this would be “The second grandchild.” Fischer corrected him,”first grandson” and confirmed that she and her husband were expecting a boy.
To Leno’s delight, the actress reportedly revealed that she was saving the juicy information for Leno and even snubbed a reporter who inquired about the sex of the baby because she wanted to share it with Jay first.
While promoting her new movie, “A Little Help,” she not only told the host she was having a boy, but also shared some of her pregnancy cravings.
“In the beginning, it was a lot of macaroni and cheese and Lucky Charms. Now it’s a lot of strawberries,” she said. “I’ve been really lucky. I’ve had a really easy pregnancy.”
According to Today, Fischer and Kirk were engaged in 2009 and wed in July 2010—“Survivor” host Jeff Probst officiated.
Fischer stars in NBC hit, “The Office” and plays the role of Pam Beesly, the office administrator, who’s currently pregnant with Jim, her husband’s baby. In the past, she also appeared in several films, including “Blades of Glory,” “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” “The Promotion” and “Hall Pass.”
