UPDATE 12:01 p.m.: Police have identified the quarry shooter as Shareff Allman, 45, according to KCBS-AM, and confirmed that the parking lot shooting was connected to the shooting at the quarry. The station also reports that a man matching Allman’s description allegedly tried to carjack a woman in Cupertino, shooting her in the leg and then fleeing on foot.

While police are hunting down a gunman at a Cupertino quarry who has already killed two people, another shooting has reportedly taken place Wednesday morning in a Cupertino parking lot five miles away from quarry. Whether the two shootings are related is unknown at this time.

The second shooting reportedly took place in a parking lot at the intersection of Homestead Road and Tantau Avenue, according to KCBS News in San Francisco. There is no further information at this time.

The quarry shooter is reportedly an employee of Lehigh Permanente quarry in Cupertino, who showed up for a morning safety meeting fully armed and began shooting, killing at least two people and critically injuring several others.

He is still on foot and authorities say he may be armed with an AK-47.

According to NBC, the quarry shooter called police with a radio and threatened to kill more people.
