Man Shot In Both Legs In Huntington Station

A man was shot in both legs while walking in Huntington Station with his friend.

According to Suffolk County Police, at around 9 p.m., Rahmel Caleb was walking with a friend on Lowndes Avenue near Church Street in Huntington Station, when a gold four-door sedan drove up and stopped beside them. Three men exited the car and two began shooting at Caleb and his friend. Allegedly, eight shots were fired and Caleb was shot in both legs. The suspects fled in the sedan west on Tower Street.

Caleb, 31, of Huntington Station, was transported by Huntington Rescue to Huntington Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. His friend was uninjured.
