Matt Barnes just announced his split with fiance and reality star Gloria Govan, but reports say he’s already moving on.
Eva Longoria and the LA Lakers player were spotted having dinner in New York this past week. The two reportedly dined with two friends at II Mulino Thursday night.
This won’t be the first time Barnes and Longoria have been spotted out together. On October 16, she posted a photo to Twitter of herself with Barnes and George Lopez. The celebrity crew was reportedly partying at Club Nikki in Las Vegas.
Regarding the possible relationship, Longoria’s rep says it’s just a friendship. A rep told FOX, “Eva and Matt are friends and are working together doing charity work for Eva’s Padres Contra El Cancer. She was at the dinner amongst her other friends.”
Longoria has been linked to Penelope Cruz’s younger brother, Eduardo in recent months. Longoria’s relationship with Cruz follows a divorce from San Antonio Spurs player, Tony Parker. The two divorced last November amid rumors of cheating and suspicious sexy text exchanges that surfaced.
Newly single Barnes announced his split with the “Basketball Wives” star through an emailed statement earlier this month.
“I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship,” the statement read. “We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.”
As we previously reported, signs that the relationship was going sour came through Twitter earlier this month when someone reportedly suggested the former Los Angeles Lakers player should marry Govan or someone else will. He tweeted, “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Govan tweeted, “If someone is dumb enough to walk away, be smart enough to let them go. Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you.”
Previously, the couple called off their engagement and Barnes was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, which the couple both denies. The charges were eventually dropped.
