Despite years of clamoring from NFL fans that the once dreadful Detroit Lions be wiped off the Thanksgiving Day schedule for good, the newly tough group of Lions are still part of the tradition and nobody is complaining this year because Detroit will be taking on the undefeated Green Bay Packers with an actual shot of winning the game.

And the Lions and Packers is just one of three intriguing games on the docket this Thanksgiving, making it one of the most anticipated Thanksgiving Day schedules in years.

Storylines are abound:

The Packers will try to continue with their dominance of the rest of league, and are looking to keep a “0” in the loss column.

Everybody is watching out for the Lions and their new reputation of being a dirty team that talks trash to players when they’re down.

The Dallas Cowboys, now tied for first place in the NFC East with the Giants, are on a hot streak and will try to continue their good play against the Miami Dolphins.

The “Suck for Luck” Dolphins are long gone, and have won three games in a row after going 0-7 to star the season.

Then we have the Harbaugh Bowl—pitting brothers Jim and John Harbaugh against each other when the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers go at it in what promises to be the most hard-hitting game of the day.

We don’t even know if there will be enough time for turkey with all the storylines the NFL is offering today (but we’ll figure something out).

So here’s the schedule of the games for those who need to work around cooking, entertaining guests and setting up the table Thursday afternoon:

  • Green Bay vs. Detroit at 12:30 p.m. on FOX.
  • Miami vs. Dallas at 4:15 p.m. on CBS.
  • San Francisco vs. Baltimore at 8:20 p.m. on NFL Network.
