Obituary: Charles A. Ranaldo

Charles A. “Chinky” Ranaldo, lifelong resident of Oyster Bay, died on Nov. 11, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Rita. Devoted father of Charles. Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Robert and Claudia. Brother of Louise Porter and Louis Ranaldo. Dear friend of Ingrid Denkers. Proud WWII veteran, decorated with the Purple Heart Medal. Past commander of the American Legion – Quentin Roosevelt Post, a member of the Italian American Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #1206. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic’s RC Chapel. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Brookville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Care Network.
