The former “Saturday Night Live” writer (from 1981-1982) and producer, Joe Bodolai died this past weekend in an apparent suicide attempt, reported TMZ with a mix of anti-freeze and Gatorade.

Huffington Post reported that his body was found in a hotel room in Los Angeles Monday when the cleaning crew got into the room.

E! reported that the suicide was not confirmed by LAPD spokesman.

Bodolai also hosted a blog called “Say It Ain’t So Joe,” where he posted an extensive last post this past Friday.

His final post was titled “If This Were Your Last Day Alive What Would You Do” in which he discusses a slew of things he thinks will happen next year, which included “Sales of Mayan Calendars up  for 2012, drop for 2013” and “Martial Law in the USA, first probably in Louisiana.”

He also discussed stuff he would like to have seen in his life, and things he regrets. Under “Things I Regret,” Bodolai names the following:

  • My inability to conquer my alcoholism.
  • Moving to Los Angeles.
  • Not being able to live up to the helping hand so many wonderful people offered me.
  • Most of all, the pain I have caused and am now causing my sons and the love of my life, my ex-wife Bianca, my love and connection with her is infinite

He also listed things he is proud of like his two sons and ends the piece by saying, “don’t need replies or comments or anything. I need to feel the good that I did and whatever good I have ever done for you is enough for me. May you all have the happy lives you deserve. Thank you all for being in my life.”

His last Facebook page also displayed his final thoughts four days before his death. It read, “I’m alone this year and am volunteering serving Christmas dinner to the homeless. Perhaps I will be one, but I love all of you and if I make it to next year let’s make it a morally, spiritually, better and funnier year.”
