Budding star Lana Del Ray appeared on “SNL” to perform her hit song “Blue Jeans” and “Video Games.”
Lana took to the famous stage before releasing her first album and one thing was clear, she looked nervous.
It wasn’t shocking, as she had just admitted to MTV in a recent interview, “I’m a little nervous for “SNL,” I’ve done live television in Europe but never in America, no TV here yet.”
“You hope it goes well and you don’t f*** up,” she said and later added of the performance, “I’m sure it will be good.”
The performance was ripped by celebrities like Juliette Lewis.
“Wow watching this ‘singer’ on SNL is like watching a 12 year old in their bedroom when they’re pretending to sing and perform. #signofourtimes,” she tweeted.
Another celeb took a swipe at the newly popular singer.
” Who…..is….. this wack-a-doodle chick performing on #SNL..? Whaaaa?,” tweeted Eliza Dushku.
The 25-year-old New York native Lana Del Ray, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, stepped on the scene recently with her two hit songs that she performed on “SNL.” She also released the single “Born To Die” December 31, which is proving to be her biggest hit yet and has climbed the charts, collecting over 11 million views on YouTube.
The singer is set to release her first studio album “Born to Die,” January 31.
