Obituary: Theresa M. Lazarus

Theresa M. Lazarus (Berger), of Bethpage, passed away after an extended illness on Jan. 13, 2012. Wife of the late Charles E. Berger (1977) and the late James E. Lazarus (2000). Mother of Christine DeSanti (Arthur), Margaret Cameron (Stuart), Charles, Thomas (Ao), and James Berger (Brenda), and Cathy Rusch (Bob). Blessed to have been welcomed into the Lazarus family through her marriage to Jim in 1990 by his children, Kevin (Deb), Brian (Barbara), Dennis (Taslima), Tim (Colleen), Colleen (Bob) and Maureen. Grandmother of 27 and great-grandmother of five. Friend of Peggy Lane and will be missed by Lauren, Jimmy and Brian. Active parishioner since 1949 of St. Martin of Tours Church. Former director of Admissions at New Island Hospital, Bethpage. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Jan. 16 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment at LI National Cemetery.
