Shaun White Wins SuperPipe (Video)

Picture 23Shaun White made a major comeback this past weekend when he took home a huge win.

White, who had just pulled out of an event due to an injury made a surprising comeback Sunday when he won SuperPipe.

“Feeling a lot better, getting ready for Pipe at X Games,” White wrote on his latest Facebook post early Sunday exciting fans that he would be back in action. He also posted a photo of him snowboarding.

White won the title Sunday in Aspen during the Winter X Games. It becomes his fifth SuperPipe win at the event.

White achieved a score of 94 for his first run which carried him past his second run during which, he wiped out. White managed to pull of a perfect score in his final run even breaking his amplitude record set last year.

“It was bizarre,” said White, according to USA Today. “And my coach Bud Keene was saying ‘They’re going to give you a 100 if you make it.'” White went on to say, “I just came through it and everything felt perfect. I was landing the 10 at the top and the cab double came through perfect.”

White withdrew from an event just two days earlier with a sprained ankle. Healso failed to show up at Saturday’s practice run making his appearance all the more exciting.

White wowed the crowd by executing the perfect run showing off his spectacular snowboarding skills with an amazing back-to-back double cork, according to USA Today, the first back-to-back double cork in Winter X Games.
