Reality Stars Release Formal Lines

situationposter1

situationposter1Now, reality stars are capable of anything. Just look at Kim Kardashian, who started out with a reality show and now makes millions off of her own clothing lines, shoe lines and even jewelry lines. She’s not alone. It seems that nothing will stop reality stars from using their names to cash in off camera. Reality stars are attaching their names to most everything these days, including formal fashion lines.

Another reality star who has made a career on reality television but continued making money off screen is “Jersey Shore” star Mike, “The Situation” Sorrentino. Sorrentino is known for his wild life in Seaside Heights but aside from that in recent years, has made his name well known for endorsements like Devotion Vodka, Reebok Zigtech shoes, workout DVDs, and even a vitamin line.

This year, Sorrentino released his own tuxedo Collection called The Situation. The collection features modern styling with pieces easily transforming to “after reception” party wear.

The collection includes an array of different tuxedos including the Asbury, which breaks tradition without satin trim on the lapels, buttons, pockets and pants, The Avalon, featuring a satin trim down the front of the jacket, and The Seaside, featuring a completely shiny and satin tuxedo jacket.

Sorrentino’s line is available Gino’s Fashion Tuxedos in Farmingdale.

Of course, it’s more comforting to see a reality star who specializes in an area to create a line in that same area. Take David Tutera for example, who just teamed up with Mon Cheri to produce a luxury line of wedding gowns from ball gowns to more modern styles (Tutera who star in “My Fair Wedding With David Tutera” had previously worked with Faviana to produce a bridal line).

His line includes gowns like the Ciprianna, which is a strapless tulle and lace modified mermaid gown with sweetheart neckline, hand-beaded lace appliqués with metallic thread adorn the directionally ruched bodice with asymmetrically dropped waistline, accordion pleated skirt with chapel length train. The line also includes the Amorita-Strapless taffeta A-line gown, featuring a softly curved neckline adorned with delicate hand-beaded trim, asymmetrically ruched bodice with hand-beaded lace bust line, dramatic asymmetrically dropped waistline features three-dimensional rolled rosettes with jewel beaded centers, multi-tiered crystal pleated asymmetric skirt with chapel length train.

The collection runs from $750 to over $1,500 and is available at Estelle’s Dressy Dresses in Farmingdale.

The reality star also paired with Sears to produce a bridal jewelry collection. The line features engagement rings and wedding bands within four collections: Eternal, Heirloom, Radiance and Legacy. Additionally, he’s paired with Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores to create Down the Aisle in Style, a line of wedding accessories.
