It looks like the Brady family may have something to celebrate after all.
Tom Brady’s sister, Julie, is reportedly engaged to be married to Boston Red Sox infielder Kevin Youkilis, according to the Boston Herald.
If the story is true, then the upcoming marriage will probably help take away the sting of Brady and his Patriots loss to the Giants 21-17 in the Super Bowl last Sunday. Of course, the Patriots also lost to Big Blue four years ago, making the loss even more painful. But a wedding could be the perfect medicine—again, if it’s true.
The publication learned that Youkilis and Brady were dating for at least a year before they got engaged.
The couple apparently met during a postgame party after the New York Jets beat the Patriots in the playoffs in 2010, according to the report.
Julie Brady is reportedly a schoolteacher with a 5-year-old daughter, and the mother and daughter will move when Youkilis reports to spring training, the Herald reported.
It’s unclear when the wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place.
This is Youkilis’ second engagement. He actually married Enza Sambataro in 2008, but the couple never filed proper paperwork to make their marriage legal, according to reports. They ended things two years later.
“He’s really lucky,” one of Youkilis’ friends told the Herald. “She’s a really nice person, but all the Bradys are nice people.”
