The Levittown School District is pleased to announce that the National Soccer Coaches Association of America has ranked the varsity girls soccer team ninth in the nation. This recent announcement comes after a stunning season in which the Lady Generals (16-2) captured both the Nassau County and the Long Island Championships. The team then concluded the season by winning the New York State Championship in their division.
During a recent Board of Education meeting in which the girls were honored for their successful season, Levittown Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics Keith Snyder commented that game scores did not tell the whole story. “A score does not indicate what went on during the game,” he stated. “This team dominated all of their contests.”
Board of Education President Michael Pappas also congratulated the team for their winning season. “We realize that getting to this level took a lot of hard work and dedication,” he told the team members.
