Are you ready to be a believer?
CeeLo Green announced earlier this week that he will be coming out with his memoir, and he promised that reading the book will “make you a believer, not only in me, but also…yourself.”
That’s some deep stuff.
Grand Central Publishing announced in a press release this week that it will publish CeeLo Green’s memoir, which is currently untitled. The book is scheduled to be released in 2013.
The Grammy-award winning artist said in a statement: “Talk about art imitating life? Enter into the super-natural, the surreal and the extra-ordinary that is CEELO GREEN. Do you think this is by chance? CRAZY? FORGET YOU? After reading this book, there will be no doubt that I am meant to be.”
According to the publishing company, Green will tell the “candid” story about how he found his voice and how he got to where he is today.
“He dresses in sequined capes, performs with the Muppets and Madonna, and does 360° flips with a grand piano at his fingertips,” said Beth de Guzman, Vice-President and Editor-in-Chief of Paperbacks at Grand Central Publishing. “Imagine all that outrageously unique and creative talent channeled into a book.”
The “F*** You” singer’s popularity grew after he became a judge/coach on NBC’s singing talent show The Voice.
CeeLo Green is working on the book with David Wild, a contributing editor for Rolling Stone.
