The Nassau County Girls Basketball Coaches Association recently chose their annual All Stars. The Lady Dragons of Division Avenue High School were well represented with Julie Weidler being picked for the All-Conference Team. Weidler led Division in defensive intensity.
Taylor Calabrese and Sue Ballantyne were both selected to the All-Class “A” Team. Calabrese took the helm at point guard this year and was outstanding. Ballantyne is a seasoned veteran who scored 219 points this season and was the team’s motivational leader. She was also chosen as the Scholar Athlete!
Laura Stuart was named to the All-Nassau County Team. Stuart led the Dragons in points and rebounds this season. She also set a team record with registering a double double in 12 of the Blue Dragon’s 17 contests.
