It’s official—Hilary Duff is now a proud mom.
And it’s not a rumor. The actress made the announcement through her Twitter account, which is followed by more than 1 million people.
“Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy,” she tweeted, also speaking for her husband Mike Comrie.
The former Lizzie McGuire (popular Disney show) star, added: “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world.”
“He is surrounded by so much love!!” she said.
The couple decided to name their new baby Luca Cruz Comrie, according to her Twitter posts.
Duff also made the announcement on her official website, adding in a post that both “mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”
The news doesn’t come as a surprise to those who have been following Duff on her website and social media.
The young couple announced the exciting news last summer in another post on Duff’s website, saying how excited they were to have a baby together.
“We also want to share the exciting news that… BABY MAKES THREE. We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!”
The couple got married in 2010 during a ceremony in California.
