Tenacious D “To Be The Best” Video Released (Video)

Picture 142Tenacious D is officially staging their comeback.

That’s right, Jack Black and Kyle Gass have reunited and to celebrate their triumphant return, have just released a brand-new video called “To Be the Best.”

The new video first premiered on The Onion and like its title says, follows the duo as they try to regain their former fame and glory.

“It’s been a wild ride for The D to get back to this point. How did it all go down? The D spells it out in their new video “To Be The Best,”’ hints the Tenacious D website.

The release of the video amps up excitement for their upcoming album. Their third studio album, Rize of the Fenix is the first in six years and follows Tenacious D, released in 2001 and The Pick of Destiny, released in 2006.

“We recorded down and dirty in a friend’s garage with a shoestring budget of 600 dollars, much like Nirvana’s first album “Bleach”-or the Beatles first album “Help.” Rough and yet a masterpiece,” reads the website.

The new album will be in stores on May 15 but for fans who just can’t wait, iTunes, Amazon and the Tenacious D website are currently offering pre-orders.
