Congratulations to Enno DeRoos of Oyster Bay, who scored as the first-place finisher in the Clydesdale 200 pound Weight Division in the 15th Annual Lazer Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run on March 24.
Runner DeRoos crossed the finish line at the new Discovery School in Kings Park in one hour, 10 minutes, 26 seconds; thats 29 seconds in front of division runner-up David Whitwell. A total of 633 runners successfully navigated the 9.3 miles up and down the hills of Kings Park. Mile for mile, this is arguably the toughest course of any Long Island race, but local runners proved equal to the task.
Congratulations and thanks to Race Director Steven Toto; and to time title sponsor, the law firm of Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella &Yedid and its Managing Partner Ralph Rosella.
Proceeds from this year’s Run will be donated to the American Brain Tumor Foundation and to the Frank Toto Memorial Scholarship Fund for Kings Park High School seniors who will be going to college aiming toward a career in business.
