Apparently the question of the day on the Internet is: How to hard-boil an egg?

We thought it was simple, until Saturday, the day before Easter, when the above question became a serious trending topic on Google.

Then we began finding tips from all across the Web.

It looks like people are really looking for some help when it comes to the task of hard-boiling an egg.

So here’s what we found.

Elise from Simply Reciples.com says in a post titled How to Make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs, “that If you want hard-boiled eggs that are easy to peel, make sure they are several days old. If this is Easter time, and everyone is buying their eggs at the last minute, buy your eggs 5 days in advance of boiling.”

If you’re reading this, then that little five days tip won’t work for you. But Elise has others.

The Washington Post uploaded a video from CBS News where a French Culinary Institute teacher shows the easy way to hard-boil an egg. The video is only 2:40 long, so you should be able to make it through the entire demonstration.

The Los Angeles Times sought out the advice from their Food Editor, Russ Parsons, who explained: “Cover them with cold water and bring them to a rolling boil. Cook for one minute, then remove them from the heat. When the water has cooled enough that you can put your hand in (about 20 minutes), the eggs will be perfectly cooked.”

Of course, we couldn’t leave the Food Network out. Here’s a guide that they thought would be useful for those seeking advice before Easter.
