Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant thinks Russell Westbrook’s one-handed dunk Friday night, which he contributed to with an alley-oop pass, is “probably the best dunk of the year.”

Blake Griffin might have something to say about that, or he would just point everybody to YouTube if they want proof that he’s the NBA’s best finisher.

But nobody can deny how nasty Westbrook’s dunk was on Friday night, considering he’s a point guard, and only 6-foot-3 inches tall.

In the second quarter of the Thunder’s home game against the Sacramento Kings, Durant started a fast break and ran down the court, and after reaching the free throw line he lobbed a one-handed pass to Westbrook who soared in the air and slammed home the jaw-dropping dunk.

“That was one of the most athletic plays I’ve ever seen,” Durant said, according to CBS Sports. “Probably the dunk of the year but you know Blake Griffin has had a lot of those. But Russell, that was, for a 6-3 point guard to be catching lobs like that man, that was unreal. That ignited us.”

Said Kendrick Perkins: “That dunk by Russ, that was nice. That was one of our best dunks of the year,”

Just how nasty was the dunk?

Well, check out what the play-by-play guy had to say about Westbrook’s dunk that sent the arena into a frenzy:

“Oh! Oh,” he said, “there are no words for how nasty these two all-stars can be. Oh!!”
