Excited for the Tupac Hologram, or “Holopac” to go on tour? We were too, but if it ever happens it won’t be for some time. At least according to Dr. Dre, reports Billboard.com.

He spoke last night backstage at Coachella in Indio, California,  “It was strictly for Coachella, get it right,” Dr. Dre said in a video interview which was posted on YouTube. “I want to get rid of all the rumors out there. This was not done for a tour.”

The Tupac 2D figure was so spectacular that people wanted to see the Tupac hologram go on tour, which fueled the rumors.

But just because it’s not happening right now does not mean it will never happen. Dr. Dre explained, “If a tour happens, we’ll see,” and added “this was done strictly for Coachella 2012, baby, just for you.”

During the interview Dr. Dre made sure to thank AV Concepts and Digital Domain. They were the companies who were responsible for having the Tupac hologram “dream come to life.” Dr. Dre made sure to end the interview stong and finished the 54 second interview by saying, “Now I gotta get  my ass on stage and rock this motherfucker,” he said.

Twitter went crazy when the Tupac hologram preformed at Coachella.

The Hollywood Reporter shared some of the public’s tweets: “i can’t even begin to imagine what this Tupac hologram is doing to all the people at Coachella that have been on acid for 3 days straight,” wrote @JordanETID.

@KirillWasHere tweeted: “Next year Coachella should just have a HOLOGRAM TENT featuring all the acts that we wish we got to see live…”

@Swagstro added: “I wonder how many rappers retired from seeing the Tupac hologram on COACHELLA.”

Can you imagine what people would say if the Tupac hologram went on tour?
