A Heart Attack Grill “patient” who collapsed in the middle of eating a double bypass burger is still recovering, but some say she may not be able to sue for compensation.

According to RoadFish.com, a men’s lifestyle and finance magazine, the Heart Attack Grill reminds its customers that they must be conscious of what they put in their bodies.

“This Establishment is Bad for Your Health,” reads a sign posted at the Heart Attack Grill.

And after reading some items of the menu, we believe them. The bacon cheeseburger, an American classic, has been replaced with names like the “Triple” and   “Quadruple Bypass Burger.”

The woman who passed out after eating a “Double Bypass Burger” was smoking cigarettes and having an alcoholic drink, according to Reuters. If she plans on suing the Heart Attack Grill, experts say she will likely not since the cause of her collapse is unknown and she willingly entered the establishment aware of the dangers.

RoadFish.com’s senior staff writer was quoted as saying, “I absolutely think that a person’s health is their own responsibility, period. And health is not just one decision, it’s a series of choices about the way you eat, exercise, and take care of your body. This restaurant happens to serve enough calories in one meal to feed a small army, but it’s the customers’ choice to be there eating it.”

The Heart Attack Grill owner was quoted by LosAngelasGrubStreet.com, “Unlike cigarettes, I have had warning labels since Day 1 when we opened in 2005 telling people how bad our food is for you. I think that skirts any liability we might have.”

Although we have to wait for the facts to come out in this case, reports suggest the woman who collapsed recently in his establishment may not have been taking care of herself.

Reuters reported: “She was eating, drinking, smoking, laughing, dancing, having fun. But when you treat your body like that day in and day out, eventually your body is going to give out.”
