At first glance the JoeyBra is a typical sexy bra, except for the ingenious addition of pockets on both sides for all your essentials!

Mariah Gentry and Kyle Bartlow who met at the University of Washington invented the JoeyBra.  It’s designed for women who are constantly on the go and need a convenient place to put their phone, keys and ID.  The pair is still juniors at UW.

The creators of first-ever pocketed bra write on their site, “From our own personal experience, we know that women hate taking purses to dances, bars, or dance clubs.  Leaving these items at home can pose a safety risk, but with JoeyBra women will never have to worry losing or damaging their valuables again.”

As of now the innovative bra only comes in the print “sexy leopard” and sizes small, medium and large.  Sorry to women with larger busts, the largest cup size a JoeyBra fits is a C.

After Mariah and Kyle conducted a survey of more than 200 young women they discovered 95 percent of their participants faced problems when it came to finding a place for their belongings when they went out at a party and 73 percent had lost items when they went out to a party but did not have a proper pocket in which to place their essentials.

They also found out 88 percent of young women were interested in the idea having a place to discreetly put their personal items.

We think the JoeyBra might be the best invention for female liberation since the tampon. You don’t have to worry about dragging around a bulky bag or wristlet when you go out and you no longer need to ask your boyfriend to hold your necessities. Now you can keep them in the comfort and safety of your bosom!

Why did it take someone so long to invent this, what do you think of the JoeyBra?
