Obituary: Nora Bridget Gallick

Nora Bridget Gallick, Farmingdale native and resident of Manhattan, died suddenly on May 1, 2012 of a massive heart attack. She had turned 65 in March.

A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Kilian Church on Friday, May 11 at 9:45 a.m. There will be no wake. No charity is specified for donations.

Nora grew up in Farmingdale and attended St. Killian School. She graduated from Farmingdale High School in 1965. Nora’s math skills helped her succeed in the advertising industry. She worked in media planning, first at Wells Rich Greene, and later at BBDO, where she completed her career as a vice-president of media research. She lived in her brownstone apartment on the upper west side of Manhattan after she retired, where she became a neighborhood fixture.

Nora is survived by her sister Sarah, her brothers, J. Brian and Paul, her nephew Nicholas Gallick, and her nieces Colleen, Grace, and Lily Gallick.

We’ll all miss Nora a great deal. The Gallick family.
