Singer Ray J was reportedly hospitalized this week for exhaustion.
He was hospitalized Monday, his rep confirmed, and said he will remain there for treatment for exhaustion. The rep said Ray J was in Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards and to host a party after performing in China, according to Boston.com.
At the moment, Ray J still remains in the hospital. There is no word on when he will be released.
What didn’t help his condition, according to TMZ, was that he was also upset about his confrontation with Whitney Houston’s family during the Billboard Music Awards.
He made headlines following the Billboard Music Awards Sunday after allegedly getting into it with Whitney Houston’s family, who was unhappy about his close seating proximity.
The awards honored the late singer who passed away in February. Her family accepted the Millennium Award on her behalf.
Apparently, the family was seated too close to Ray J, which turned into a problem with Pat, Whitney’s mother. According to reports, Pat wanted Ray J moved but he refused and Pat called for security to help move him.
A rep later explained the situation to TMZ, noting that Pat did ask for him to be moved but only after an official from Billboard told the family they needed to be moved to the seat Ray J was already using and that Pat doesn’t have a problem with him.
Ray J and Whitney Houston were friends before her death and were frequently photographed out together. The singer noted of his depression following her death and even recently noted he was still not over it.
“I really miss my friend, you know, I really do. I’m still hurting,” he recently told media.
