Picture 71Disney just released a new trailer for Disney’s upcoming 2012 flick, “Wreck-It Ralph.”

The new movie is set to hit theaters this fall but Disney fans got their first glimpse into it this week when the new trailer went viral.

The preview introduced viewers to Ralph, voiced by John C. Reilly,  a destructive video game character who is sick of always being the bad guy. He soon decided, after decades of destruction, to leave his role in the game Wreck-It Ralph, and begin a game-hopping journey across the arcade.

He soon challenged himself to become a hero through every generation of video games which turned out to be quite the challenge for everyone in the arcade.

“An 8-bit video-game character attempts to shed his bad-guy image by escaping into a popular first-person shooter, but inadvertently wreaks havoc in the video-game universe by freeing a digital villain,” reads the video caption.

On his quest, he meets a slew of entertaining characters including Sergeant Calhoun, who is voiced by Jane Lynch, from the the game Hero’s Duty, and Vanellope Von Schweetz, voiced by Sara Silverman, from the game Sugar Rush. It’s during his stint in Sugar Rush when he unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade, according to Disney.

The movie, that was directed by Rich Moore of “The Simpsons” and “Futurama,” hits theaters Nov. 2. Check it out.
