Picture 14Recently, Maroon 5 released a new video for single, “One More Night.”

The music video was released in past weeks and featured Yankee player Derek Jeter’s ex-girlfriend Minka Kelly. Kelly played Adam Levine’s love interest in the new video.

“You and I go hard at each other like we’re going to war. You and I go rough, we keep throwing things and slamming the door,” sang Levine as he wrapped his wrists and prepared for a boxing match. “You and I get so damn dysfunctional, we stopped keeping score. You and I get sick, yeah, I know that we can’t do this no more.”

The song was the second single from Maroon 5’s new album “Overexposed.” The song was first released June 19.

In the video, released June 25, Levine once again found himself lonely and beat up, much like the group’s last music video for “Payphone.” This time, he played a boxer and was not the victim of an enraged model girlfriend though he also experienced a failed relationship. In “One More Night” he sang about not getting along with his love and that he would only stay one more night.

“But baby there you go again, there you go again, making me love you. Yeah, I stopped using my head, using my head, let it all go,” Levine sang. “Got you stuck on my body, on my body, like a tattoo. And now I’m feeling stupid, feeling stupid, crawling back to you.”

The struggles of pursuing boxing, supporting his family and spending time with them proved to be too difficult for his love to endure. She ultimately left him. At the close of the video, he returned home only to find pictures with a few broken frames remained.

The music video was directed by Peter Berg.

The song followed the lead single from the album, “Payphone.” The video was released in April and followed Levine as he made a call from a phone booth and began fleeing his girlfriend, who ultimately kicked his butt.
