Karen DeVine-Taglia Is Running NY Marathon For Cancer Research

Karen DeVine-Taglia will be running in the Nov. 4 ING New York City Marathon again. She is looking for people who would like to support her charity in the race.

“I’m running the NYC Marathon with Fred’s Team to support crucial research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

“I joined to make a difference in the fight against cancer and raise funds that can change —  and save — lives,” said Ms. DeVine-Taglia.

Since 1995, Fred’s Team has generated more than $46 million for pioneering research, leading to new insights and more effective, less toxic therapies for patients treated at MSKCC and at institutions all over the world. “I have joined Aubrey’s Team, the funds raised under Aubrey’s Team go directly to pediatric cancer research,” said the mother of two.

She said, “This progress — and the hope it brings to patients and their families — is only possible because of thoughtful contributions from people like you! I hope you’ll make a gift to support my race.”

She has a fundraising page on the Internet where you can make a 100 percent tax-deductible online donation at mskcc.convio.net. Go to the Fred’s Team Events.

“Thank you for your help in bringing us one step closer to a world without cancer,” said Karen.
