The Eve Foundation, a not for profit foundation dedicated to breaking the chains of domestic violence, is sponsoring a comedy night show at the Colonial Springs Golf Club, 1 Long Island Ave., East Farmingdale. This fun filled evening costs just $20 plus a $12 food and drink minimum. Country-Western Party
A Country-Western party will be hosted by the Nassau & Queens Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. The party will be held in the Parish Hall of the Church of St Jude, 3606 Lufberry Ave., Wantagh. The facility is completely accessible. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children under 16, and includes food, beverages, music and line dancing lessons. Zumba and Koga Party
Last Hope Animal Rescue will be hosting a Zumba and Koga Party led by Darlene Smith, founder of Be Fabulous Foundation, Inc., a non-profit fitness wellness company. Darlene is a certified group instructor who will lead workout sessions of Zumba and Koga (kickboxing/yoga) from noon to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Last Hope Adoption Center, 3300 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh Great fun and exercise for all ages. Tickets are $10. All proceeds benefit Last Hope’s foster animals and community outreach programs. Skin Cancer Fundraiser And Dinner

9th Annual Walk to Remember
In recognition of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, Winthrop-University Hospital’s Perinatal Bereavement Team will host the 9th Annual Walk to Remember. The walk begins at 9 a.m. at Field 5 of Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. The day includes a light breakfast, a candlelight memorial service, and an opportunity for parents to create a memory page for inclusion in Winthrop’s Memory Scrap Book. Any individuals who wish to create a memory page are asked to bring it with them the day of the walk. A donation of $15 per person is requested by Sept. 28. Children under 12 may participate for free. All proceeds benefit Winthrop’s Perinatal Bereavement Team. Free Rabies Vaccine for Pets
The Last Hope Animal Rescue will be hosting a free rabies vaccine clinic for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Last Hope Adoption Center, 3300 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh. All Long Island pet owners are eligible; no appointment necessary. All pets must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be leashed and cats need to be in carriers.
