The annual Commodore’s Cup Regatta and dinner were held on Sept. 15. This event was a salute to the outgoing commodore, Darren Martin. The race started at 11 a.m. All sailors were invited to participate regardless of experience and race courses were adjusted accordingly.
The awards ceremony and dinner took place at the Sagamore Club house that evening. Sailors, power boaters and other members are all invited to enjoy the evening. The dinner was catered by Jack Halyards of Oyster Bay.
Commodore Darren Martin presented the following awards:
Yellow Division
1st place went to Commanche which is skippered by Darren Martin.
2nd place went to Orion which is skippered by Damir Plisic
3rd place went to Serendipity which is skippered by Bob Betensky.
White Division
1st place went to Sing To Me which is skippered by Robert Reyes.
2nd place went to Polaris which is skippered by Alan Schaub.
Additional trophies will be given out at the sailing awards ceremony dinner on Nov. 3.
