The recent storms have put life in perspective for many of us, including the importance of friends and family during difficult times.
As we approach the holiday season, there are still many Long Islanders without the things they were once most thankful for – a home, a car or a prized possession – but the health and happiness of our loved ones must always take precedence over the material goods in life.
There are still neighbors in need and a good deed will go a long way in helping those close to home this Thanksgiving.
