Light Up The Holidays
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce annual Light Up The Holidays Fundraiser is at 7 p.m. at the Sagamore Yacht Club (tickets are $75).
Ladies Night

Youth Fashion Show

HPSN Holiday Concert
The annual Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome Network holiday concert is at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich PAC at 7:30 p.m. Now in its 11th year, the show features traditional Christmas carols, original Christmas music as well as modern Christmas classics. The band, known as J is led by the brother and sister duo of vocalist/acoustic guitarist John DiGennaro and vocalist JoAnn Criblez. Free but a donation to the HPSN is welcome.

YFCA Benefit Concert
A special Christmas Benefit Concert will be held at 4 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church, East Norwich. Featured are: the Flute Magic! Ensemble, Long Island Zither Ensemble, the Oyster Bay Flute Choir, as well as a Christmas song sing-along. ASFC Toy Drive
The Atlantic Steamer Fire Co. No. 1 is hosting a holiday toy drive starting Dec. 1. The toys will be distributed to those affected by the recent storms and to the Matthew Fetzer Foundation. Please drop off new, unwrapped toys on East Main Street at the Atlantic Steamer Firehouse, Gooseberry Grove, What’s Cooking, or at the Village Gourmet Deli on Summit Street, through Dec. 15, For information call Bob Walles at 852-1139.
Deck The Halls

The annual Tom Robinson basketball tournament is hosted by the Oyster Bay High School this year. Held on Dec. 6 and 7, with two rounds of competition at 5 and 7 p.m. Held in the OBHS gym. The Baymen play tonight.

Doo-Wop Fundraiser

OBHS Concert and Exhibit
The Oyster Bay Historical Society is hosting their annual concert and open house from 4 to 7 p.m. The one-hour concert at the Hood A.M.E. Zion Church on South Street and Summit Street is a gospel event at 4 p.m., not to be missed. Think toe-tapping and hand clapping. Then walk down to 20 Summit Street to the Earle-Wightman House for a free reception from 5 to 7 p.m.. They are also debuting their new exhibit of miniatures and childhoods small things that gives a glimpse into the family life of the Roosevelt clan.
OB Tree Lighting
The OB-EN Chamber is holding their tree lighting on Dec. 8, at 4:15 p.m. at the Derby-Hall Bandstand in Townsend Park. Come see Santa arrive. Refreshments by the Oyster Bay Civic Association.
Holiday Express
The Oyster Bay Railroad Museum is holding their annual Holiday Express at 102 Audrey Avenue on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9. Santa will be there from 1 to 3 p.m. so bring a camera for a photo op. There are raffles, exhibits and gifts for sale. Free horse and wagon rides, first come, first served, around town both days.
Christmas with the Roosevelts
Visit Sagamore Hill National Historic Site from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Christmas with the Roosevelts at Sagamore Hill. Activities include holiday music by Musica Dolce, Christmas carols sung by Close Enough, and James Foote as TR, talks about how the Roosevelts celebrated Christmas there and in the White House. Owl Prowl at OWG

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Needs Oyster Bay Recruits
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla in the Oyster Bay area is recruiting new members. They are needed to assist the Coast Guard in performing Homeland Security missions and to implement the Coast Guard’s many recreational boating safety programs. No experience or boat is required. Muttontown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
The Fellowship provides an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie, with talks presented by intelligent enlightening and non-dogmatic speakers who come from the entire spectrum of the arts, history and sciences. This is followed by coffee and an informal discussion circle, held in the turn-of-the-18th century farmhouse in a bucolic setting.
