Dominica Libertini of Oyster Bay died on November 27, 2012, at the age of 71. She was born in Glen Cove on December 2, 1940.
Ms. Libertini joined the Life Enrichment Center of Oyster Bay on May 11, 2005. “She owned a hair salon in town and was a fantastic ballroom dancer. A full-figured woman, she was oh-so light on her feet. You couldn’t keep up with her,” said Nancy Farinaccio, LEC program assistant.
“She preferred to be called Margaret. She and her sister Linda worked at their Mar-Lyn Hair Salon on East Main Street.” she added.
“Margaret and Linda took care of their mother during her long illness. She was just a great, nice, individual and loved the center,” said Mary Frignani, program coordinator. “We are all like family here.”
She was the beloved sister of Linda and Vincent. She was the loving aunt of Carmine (Kimberely), Karley, and Paul. She was the proud great aunt of Vincent and Matthew.
Ms. Libertini is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
Visiting was at the Oyster Bay Funeral Home, on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 29 and 30. A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Dominic RC Chapel. Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
