It may be hard to think about swimming while enduring the February chill, but it’s time to register for both swim and exercise classes at the Nassau County Aquatic Center at Eisenhower Park for the spring. Swim lessons will be offered for all ages and ability levels, though children 4 and under must be accompanied in the water with an adult. Aquatic fitness offerings include Aquajog, Aquaerobics, teen/adult fit swim (ages 13 and over) and Aqua Zumba. Non-aquatic exercise classes include Senior Power, Pilates, Spin-lates (a combination of spinning and pilates), Yoga, and Big Dave’s Boot Camp. In addition, personal training is available: contact David Graziosi at dgraziosi@nassaucountyny.gov for more information on meeting with a trainer.
Fees vary by class. Payment is due by 5 p.m., Feb. 17. Last chance registration begins at 8 a.m., Feb. 22 for any remaining spots, and the first day of classes is Monday, Feb. 25. For a detailed listing of class offerings and more registration information, call the center at 572-0501 or visit the Nassau County Parks website at www.nassaucountyny.gov/parks.
