“All Aboard for Reading” is the theme of this year’s Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) program at Northside Elementary School. Each student was handed a train ticket where they wrote their name and the titles of their favorite books on it. The school’s lobby was then decorated with all the personalized train tickets. The Northside PTA sponsors the school’s PARP program, a popular reading initiative that is celebrated in elementary schools across the nation. PARP is a program designed to foster the love of reading in children by asking parents to set aside 15 minutes daily to read with their children. Students and parents are asked to hop aboard the reading express this year in support of this exciting event.
