Anthony Galeotafiore, a senior at MacArthur High School, has recently committed to play lacrosse for SUNY Farmingdale, a decision he knew would shape not only his next four years but would lay the foundation for his next 40 years.
Galeotafiore has enjoyed academic and athletic success at MacArthur High School as a dedicated student-athlete, earning a 3.2 GPA and being an important contributor to his team. He has played lacrosse since 8th grade.
“I love lacrosse for its teamwork, fast pace, physical contact and its various situations you may find yourself in,” said Galeotafiore. “I feel that lacrosse makes you have to think and stay on your toes mentally and physically.”
Each summer Galeotafiore plays for a traveling lacrosse team, covering much of the tristate area and other neighboring states. “If there is an opportunity to get a stick in my hand I take it for the pure reason that I love lacrosse,” he said.
Galeotafiore was committed to his goal of playing college lacrosse, and his decision to join NCSA Athletic Recruiting provided him with the opportunity and technology to be proactive in his recruiting process, while also being educated on the steps he needed to take to achieve his goal.
His dedication and trust in the recruiting process has rewarded him with the opportunity to play lacrosse at the next level, attending SUNY Farmingdale, to play for the Rams. While at Farmingdale, Galeotafiore plans to major in engineering and business.
