The Farmingdale wrestling team donated a set of 23 singlets to the Long Beach wrestling program to help them rebuild after Hurricane Sandy. The custom-sublimated singlets were designed and manufactured by Steven Panarelli and his apparel company Reversible Lifestyles located in Farmingdale. Panarelli was the Nassau County Wrestling Champion at 171 lbs for the Dalers in 2003.
Captain Dave Brown said, “We knew Coach Garcia was an alumni of Long Beach High School and we wanted to do something to help out and show our support and all agreed that this was a great way to do just that.”
The Long Beach wrestling program headed by Coach Ray Adams, along with Athletic Director Arnie Epstein have helped Farmingdale host some big tournaments over the years by lending light weight mats and by participating in many of the tournaments held at Farmingdale High School.
“It feels great that we can help Long Beach rebuild and at the same time say thank you,” said Farmingdale Head Coach Ken Garcia.
