LaCorte’s Family Auto is off to a great start this year. The team beat Paradox Cafe 20-13 on May 3. Last week, LaCorte tied Moby Drugs. Against Paradox, Keith Burtis had a great night pitching and he also blasted a home run. Charlie
Dittmar had a fantastic night at first base and he also belted a homer. Vic Inzirillo played a great third base and hit well. LaCorte is planning to be the come back team of the year.
Zwanger Pesiri (ZP) Radiology and Changing Times (CT) Pub went back and forth for nine innings with CT coming up with nine runs in the top of the 10th to win 18-9.
ZP trailed 4-2 in the 6th inning and took the lead 6-4 when Marc Fischer belted a grand slam. CT answered with five runs over the next two innings and lead 9-7 heading into the bottom of the 9th.
After Fischer and Russ Graham moved back the defense with two very long fly outs, ZP answered with four straight two-out hits to tie the game sending it into the 10th. CT then put on their hitting shoes and scored nine times to secure the win.
Johnny “Shots” Hernandez led ZP with a perfect 4-for-4 in the lead off spot. John DeFalco had three hits. Two hits each for Tommy Dittmeier, Marc Fischer, Bino Reverberi, Richie D’Amico, Shawn O’Flynn and Anthony “Booby” Nicolich.
