Portledge Boys Tennis Wins IPPSAL Crown

The Portledge Varsity Boys Tennis team completed a very strong season with an overall record of 13 wins and 6 losses. They won a hard fought championship match versus Long Island Lutheran by a score of 3-2 to capture the 2013 IPPSAL (Independent Private and Parochial Schools Athletic League) crown.

Portledge no. 1 singles player Cameron Daniels ’14 (Oakland Gardens) was easily victorious to keep his undefeated mark in IPPSAL play intact. The two doubles teams of Alex Snow ’14 (Glen Cove) and Ethan Axelowitz ’16 (Huntington), and Hussein Khalfan ’14 (Muttontown) and Andrew Palacios ’16 (Centerport), also went undefeated this season.

The Panthers will return all of their players next year.
