Women runners and walkers of all ages and levels of ability are invited to join on the track at Farmingdale High School on Saturday, July 13 for the 30th annual edition of the Runner’s Edge Long Island Women’s 5K Run.
The 5K Run will be preceded by the free “Little Women’s 1/4 Mile Fun Run” for future Olympians under the age of 12, and each finisher in the Fun Run will receive a medal when she crosses the finish line.
Register online at glirc.org or call 516-349-7646. There is a 50 percent discount for runners and walkers under the age of 16 who pre-register. Day-of-race entry is $25.
