Merillon BOLTS Girls Are Major League Champs

The Merillon Tudor Advisory Group BOLTS beat the Mineola Lightning 9-3 in extra innings for the girls Major League Championship. Isabella Fazzolari pitched no hit ball for three innings and struck out eight batters and Jillian Cooper pitching a scoreless fourth inning, getting out of a big jam.

Cooper had a single, a double and scored a run. Lauren Wasserman pitched two scoreless innings, struck out five batters and got the save.

She also had two big hits and stole home plate for a run. Daniella Connor played a great first base, making several big plays for put outs at first base and threw out a runner going to third base. Connor also had a big hit and scored a run.

Sarah Bush had a big hit and scored a run and caught the full seven innings behind the plate and she threw a girl out at third base trying to steal. Samantha Grenard had two walks and scored a big run.

CeCe Schnall had a big hit and scored a big run in the top of the seventh inning. Michelle Lee walked and scored a big run in the seventh inning. Haylie Lempert walked, got a big hit in the seventh inning and scored a run.

Kaitlyn Stoyer walked, hit a huge double down the right field line in the top of the seventh inning to break the game wide open and scored a run. Sabani Polce got hit by a pitch and stole second base.
