Lazy Days of Summer

The Levittown Community Council’s annual Lazy Days of Summer Picnic will be held at the East Village Green on Jerusalem Avenue on July 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be free entertainment and many fun activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, relay races and crafts. Come walk the plank and pull out a prize from the pirates’ treasure chest or go fishing in the fishing pond. Bring non-perishables and toiletries to benefit local families. Classic Car Show

Classic Car Show on July 14 at Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 899 South Oyster Bay Rd in Bethpage. All makes and models welcome. Live performance by one of Long Island’s top doo-wop bands, The Fabularies. Trophies, raffles, vendors, radio broadcast, and more. Download a car registration form at www.corvettesociety.com. Youth Wrestling Camp

This camp is designed for students entering 1st through 7th grade interested in learning wrestling or becoming a better wrestler. We will separate wrestlers by age and experience. The camp takes place at Seaford Middle School at 3940 Sunset Ave. at 9 a.m. You do not have to be a Seaford resident to attend. The cost is $150 if registered by July 8; $175 if registered after. Selenophobia, by a local Wantagh resident, will have its world premiere at the 16th Annual Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) being held at Bellmore Movies, 222 Pettit Avenue from July 17 through July 25. Blood Drive

Assemblyman Tom McKevitt will host a blood drive at the Island Trees Public Library, at 38 Farmedge Road, on July 17 from 2 to 8 p.m. All donors will be mailed two New York Mets tickets for an upcoming game, courtesy of Long Island Blood Services. Bethpage Author Book Signing

St. James Parish Carnival

St. James Parish, Seaford will hold their annual carnival from July 23 through July 27. Rides, games, food. Pre-purchase discounted ride tickets at the parish center on weekdays before the carnival. Vacation Bible School

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, at 3434 Hempstead Turnpike will hold its Vacation Bible School Kingdom Rock from August 12 through 16, in two sessions. The first session will be from 9 a.m. to noon.
