Doo-wop fans will want to get here early for this show as Del Satins founding member Stan Zizka will be leading his crew through a slew of singles including “I’ll Pray for You,” “I Remember the Night,” “Teardrops Follow You” and Dion’s “Runaround Sue,” for which the group provided harmonies on the original recording.

Christmas In July

The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection hosts its Annual Christmas In July Fundraiser, Saturday, July 27, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. featuring a model train show. Also featured this year will be a display of beautiful handmade patchwork quilts, with a dozen available for the highest bidders to take home. Get on board and support missions as you bid on irresistible gift baskets. Enjoy seasonal treats, holiday music, friendly fellowship and family fun. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 per person, or $20 per family. Resurrection Lutheran Church is a multi-site Christian community of faith, with a main campus located at 420 Stewart Ave., near Clinton Road, in Garden City. All are invited to worship at 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays and at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday mornings, with Christian Education at 10 a.m. Our second campus, The LIFE Lutheran Church, is located at 1 Old Westbury Rd., on Jericho Tpke., in Old Westbury. Free Breast Cancer Support Groups

The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer program is offering new support groups. There is no cost for any group; however pre-registration is required. Additional groups are formed upon request, including groups for men with breast cancer and family members. All groups meet at Adelphi University School of Social Work in Garden City. •Support group for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer will meet weekly for eight weeks from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

•Support group for women post treatment will meet weekly for eight weeks from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

•Support group for young women with breast cancer will meet weekly for eight weeks from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

•Support group for women with metastatic breast cancer will meet weekly for eight weeks from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

•A telephone support group for women with breast cancer will be held weekly for eight weeks from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

•Free Bereavement Group, a support group for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Ethical Humanist Society, 38 Old Country Rd., Garden City. Call 516-741-7304.

•Anxiety And Depression Group, a free self-help group for anxiety, panic disorder, depression, OCD and other nervous fears now meets every Thursdays at 8 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, corner of Chester Ave. and New Hyde Park Rd., Garden City. Through the Recovery International process, members learn to manage stress, panic, anxiety, depression, anger, irrational fears, phobias, compulsions, obsessions and other emotional or behavioral problems. Members also learn how to face and manage psychosomatic symptoms such as heart palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, sweats, fatigue, headaches, numbness, chest pressure and sleep problems. All group leaders are trained lay volunteers who have experienced some type of difficulty with an emotional problem and practice the Recovery International method of self-help.
