The 32nd Annual Invitational Golf Tournament was held at The Creek on Aug. 12 where many professionals joined together to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the March of Dimes. This year’s honoree was Robert Gilman of Plainview, CPA of Anchin, Block & Anchin, LLP. Other sponsors included Seyfarth Shaw, Bryan Cave, Deloitte, Jericho Capital, Merrick Financial Group, Michael & Darci Hirschberg, Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, Property Resources Corporation, TD Bank, and Lexus of Massapequa.
Even though this event was postponed from June due to inclement weather, it couldn’t keep away the 96 golfers who raised over $105,000. On hole #17 golfers were challenged by 12-year-old youth volunteer, Alex Keener of Bethpage. Each golfer took a chance but only a handful of golfers were able to top his shot. Also, Paul “Dr. Hook” D’Amato joined the March of Dimes golfers for a fun filled day.
The year’s golf committee was chaired by Mitchel Hill and included Sonia Bain, Miles Borden, Charles Catapnao, Jeffrey Fliegel, Douglas Forsyth, Thomas Huszar and David G. Moss.
