Authorities are looking for a knife-wielding home invasion suspect who robbed a man in his Riverhead home early Wednesday morning.
Riverhead Town Police said the suspect broke into the victim’s Fishel Avenue Extension home through an unlocked rear screen door, flashed the blade and stole the homeowner’s wallet from a TV stand at 12:30 a.m.
The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle toward Elton Street. He was described as a black man in his late 20s with a medium build, short curly black hair, facial hair and was wearing a black t-shirt with gray sweat pants.
Detectives ask anyone with information about the case to call them at 631-727-4500 ext. 289.
