Chorale Rehearsal
The first rehearsal of the season for the Bel Canto Chorale will be held on Sept. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wantagh Memorial Congregational Church, 1845 Wantagh Avenue, in Wantagh. Weekly rehearsals continue on Sundays through Dec. 8. The winter dress rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Freeport with the Fall Concert Performance on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. in Freeport. Veterans Barbecue
Nassau County will host the third annual veterans’ barbecue, rain or shine on Sept. 20 at Eisenhower Park, parking field 6. Lunch will be served and entertainment will include a live band.
