Driver Loses Control On Turnpike

On Aug. 29 the Levittown Fire Department and NCPD units responded to a single vehicle accident on Hempstead Tpke by Shelter Lane. The driver of this pick-up truck was travelling eastbound and lost control, crossing over the westbound lanes, snapping a utility pole and crashing into a fence. He was transported to NUMC and fire fighters secured the scene. (Kevin Imm)
