Chamber Kicks Off ‘Shop Locally’ Campaign

Shopping locally is critical to the economy of a community and, so, the Levittown Chamber of Commerce encourages community residents to shop in their home town. In an effort to create a public awareness of that, the chamber is providing member businesses with free advertising in local publications during the season and Buy Locally signs to place in their business establishments.

In addition to the annual “Holiday Tree Lighting” ads, “Shop Locally” ads listing the names of every chamber of commerce member will make an appearance during the holiday season.

The chamber also will be doing a mass mailing to the community inviting residents to consider buying from local businesses before they go outside the community for products and services.

It’s the goal of the chamber of commerce to keep business in the community thriving throughout the year and, especially, in this season of accelerated shopping.
